Here's few photos I copied off facebook from our people in Ukraine.
Although Garry really wishes he was able to go visit our guys in Ukraine, we are back in Canada now. Our flights to Budapest from Poland went fine and we had a wonderful time visiting with our fellow EFCCM missionaries about an hour outside the city from Monday until Thursday morning. We actually left a day early, because the cost of a one way flight was about twice the price after that!
On Wednesday we were able to squeeze in a visit with our friend Jessica, who had flown in to Budapest and was going back to Uzgorad, where she's been since the beginning of the war. She drove over to see us, talk about Ukraine and hug. We even got a selfie before she went back to Budapest to sleep at a hotel before driving back to Ukraine.
You don't have to wear a mask on most flights, and the seats are very full on planes. On our flight from Amsterdam we were stuck with the two inner seats of four for 8 1/2 hours. It left an hour late so we had to hustle to get our flight to Winnipeg, but we made it.
Garry decided to keep busy today by assembling the Ikea cabinets for the island in the kitchen. We'll be in church Sunday and then a family birthday party before heading to the cottage for a visit and lots of fishing with Garry's dad next week.
