Garry and I took off with Nellya and the girls (except Alyona, who did not return from her weekend away to visit her sister) for the sea side Monday morning. Max will drive the boys here on Wednesday morning and then take the girls home that evening.
This week has turned unseasonably warm, it was 32C (90s F) back in the village, so we have been swimming. Garry accidentally left his bag at home so he's been wearing the same shorts for everything, they will bring his clothes tomorrow.
We are in Kirviloki, where Garry and Clay went for the weekend after teaching English this summer, it's actually my first visit here on the Sea of Azov. Many of the restaurants and little kiosks have closed for the season (September first when school started) but we were able to do a little souvenir shopping Monday night.
Besides having fun swimming in the sea and the pool together (its a nice place, we have two apartments that share a deck where we have been eating our meals) Garry has been talking to them about faith, hope and love in the Lord. Nellya has been translating and has volunteered to take over the meal cleanup when the girls leave. Leila starts clearing the table as soon as the first person is done so far. I am the cook, and only had to change a few things up, when I discovered we have two burners but no oven. Pizza bread has been replaced with grilled cheese sandwiches and my hot dog packets with potatoes in for the big lunch for 15 is now soup with hot dogs on the side (and potatoes in the soup).
Breakfast at 9...9:30? am |
Right now, everyone has gone to bed, Garry is sleeping and I am listening to music playing in the distance, waves on the nearby shore and the wind blowing outside the window.
Good night! I'll put up some photos of the boys next.
