Maybe...

Tonight Garry and I went for a walk around 8:30. As you can see, the sun was starting on a beautiful sunset and hopefully those clouds turn into something overnight- there is a 30% chance of .4 mm of rain according to the forecast- not much but we'll take what we can get. Saturday's has storms back in the forecast with a possibility of 4 mm so keep your fingers crossed, knock on wood, we may get some much-needed rain! If you are wondering what Garry's doing he found a little nail stuck in the bottom of his sandal and was pulling it out- he said it felt like there was a stone in his shoe.

On the way back from the village store (we bought ice cream treats)we passed the goat lady who was heading home for the night- as you can see even the babies are big enought to graze now- I put a photo of them up about 6 weeks ago, I think.

Good news the car is back and the belt is fixed, although Maxim was convinced of the need for universal joint repairs so that will be getting done before Monday's drive to Kiev. The boys are working on the final math lessons, last chemistry unit, and Seth has some English to finish before packing for Canada.

The cows have responded to the return of brewers' grain in the feed ration- on Monday moring after the weekend with none to eat, the daily total had fallen to 613 liters from 32 cows. This morning they were up more than a 100 liters after getting the Monday afternoon delivery, and Garry expects them to be close to the record 777 for the day from this afternoon's to Thursday morning's milking (we have 3x a day milking, which is very common here.) Garry figures everyone is having the same results in the village that buys the brewers grain, so we might be selling even more after running out.

Tonight Garry did not go breed any cows for anyone- last night he went to village he'd never been to to breed that cow- the village was called Pervey My (first of May)almost as interesting as the street he went to in Dnepropejisk - 50 year anniversary of the USSR street- he even found it on the GPS- just like that!
