Still working

Driving to Dnepro yesterday, the winter wheat and canola fields look so green. It cooled off after a 20 C (70 F) day to start the week Monday.  Some of the students were wearing shorts, but were back in coats Wednesday.

Garry has been working hard on finishing Yana's house this week, mostly with the help of Max, who was hooking up the plumbing when I stopped in yesterday, and Dima and Leila who love to help out with building projects.  Dima likes handyman work, and Leila loves to clean up, so if Garry is there, they are too.

They decided to put the washer just outside the bathroom wall instead of inside it. Next to the cellar access cover you can see in the photo.

Nikolai and Vasili continue to work on plastering the water cistern they dug. Yesterday afternoon Nikolai was working alone because Vasa was working at the barn for milking. The two of them are the usual skidsteer drivers to clean the barns.

He's hoping to finish today, bathroom wall that was not tiled needs painting,  and the tile  floors need grout I'm told.

Garry was grouting the tiled window sills yesterday when I stopped in, he wanted to get the bathroom wall grouted so they could install the toilet, and he said he was painting the walls in the kitchen and living room that weren't finished when the team left when I phoned from Dnepro.

After a couple days cleaning and reorganizing our bedroom,  I was in Dnepro buying (with Victor's help) a mattress and bed frame for it. We have finally decided on getting a queen size bed and putting the full size one we've been sleeping on in Yana's bedroom.

On Monday Garry and Victor assembled a scoff (wardrobe)  that came from Victor's house,  so the bedroom is pretty much furnished.
