It was raining again this morning...so we thought we would go to the circus with the boys- we hadn't seen the one that finishes its run on Sunday. Last month we went to the 12:30 show on a Saturday afternoon, so we thought we'd do it again- the 3:30 show is over too late for us to get back to the village so Maxim to get to church in Zaporosia Saturday evening.
We raced off to Dnepro at 11:30 after Garry helped Max with installing another part of the potential vaccuum/milking system. We got there in time, inspite of everycrosswalk along the river road turning red in front of us- the seem to not be timed for driving either way and are not activated by people crossing at them either- so often the cars sit waiting while no one crosses the road. There was a suspicious lack of people in the area and when Garry checked at the ticket office around the back of the building- no show until 3:30.
Since the circus building is very close to MOCT-(Most-city center) the big mall, we walked over- it wasn't raining then, and went upstairs to McDonalds and then bowled- 10 pin for an hour before heading home(Garry beat the rest of us as normal, but the boys and I had close scores- we got a few strikes.) It's bigger than it looks in the photo- we were in the front no smoking section- there are twenty more lanes I think. As we left the mall, it started to rain hard- along with a few ice pellets- the early circus customers (it was 2:15) were trying to huddle under the overhang of the restaurant next door or under the entries as the doors were still locked.
If you read yesterday's post I mentioned a cow would calve soon- she did, and had a heifer calf last night- mostly black with white feet and about six white hairs in the middle of her forehead as Garry told me. Garry was shoveling brewers grain with his fancy new shovel- the man who sold it to him was concerned that he wanted to dig with it- and told him it was a snow shovel. Of course Garry just wanted a bigger scoop, as its easy to shovel out but the bigger the scoop the less you need to do it! He'd really like a big aluminum grain shovel from home, but this is a improvement.
