Leila busy cleaning |
So we have been to all the nearby stores in both cities and no one has it in stock. We will see how long it takes to get six more boxes. Otherwise, things are moving along. Garry finished tiling the bathroom on Saturday, Oksana painted the remaining walls in there yellow the same morning. She has really enjoyed picking colors and painting the walls of her house.

The students were sad when Garry told them Saturday morning that I wasn't making group lunch anymore after three weeks of soup, sandwiches, desserts and the occasional pasta or oven meal. There was always a big group at lunchtime and a much smaller afternoon crew working.
Friday was a beautiful day, the fence was given a second coat of paint, and Scott and Shannon were busy helping clean up the yard. They set the big pile of branches and debris (and one ancient broken couch) on fire that night. The nearby walnut tree may never be the same, it caught on fire and they had to put it out.
Look closely, see Shannon's orange hoody? |
So in the last couple days, flooring went down, trim on the ceiling, baseboards and window trim, all went up. Plastering touchups, and paint touchups in the main room. Sunday afternoon and couple of the guys were putting a giant scoff (wardrobe) together for the parents' bedroom. The bedrooms are getting beds we bought from Marina and family when they moved last month. Right now they are in Victor's garage in the city.
