They got more work done in the house, and more siding on the outside.
Oksana was busy painting her baseboards when the girls helped me bring lunch over. It wasn't soup, as the village store ran out of water, and when Garry had tried to buy it Sunday night, they said it would be refilled on Monday. It wasn't, so it was potatoes, cabbage, onions and a little piece of chicken in foil packets that I cooked in the oven for lunch and the sandwiches, of course.
You may have noticed that we get the little ones in their carriages at the building site, often when mom is busy painting. The other students love to help with the babies too. Little Matthew actually has one aunt and two uncles among our students and many other helping hands.
Monday morning Max was gone with our van, because all the chemicals and corn seed they ordered wouldn't fit in the truck they hired. When it arrived in the afternoon, we had to find a locked place to put it all. A couple of years ago, some of our weed spray was stolen, so it's been stored in the house for the last three years, but I didn't have an open room. It's in the cheesehouse this time, because we have a key. They were actually getting close to making cheese in there, but it will have to wait until after planting next month.
